Total hip replacement is surgery to replace the damaged joint with an artificial joint in patients with severely damaged hip joint. About The Procedure

Total hip replacement can be performed with general or epidural anesthesia. The surgery takes approximately 2 hours. Epidural or intravenous pain pumps are used to prevent post-operative pain. You need to follow your doctor’s instructions after the surgery.

After The Procedure

After The Procedure Rehabilitation begins 4-5 hours after the operation. You can keep your foot on the ground with the help of a single or double wing cane. It is possible for the same day of the surgery or the day after of the surgery day. You also can start the activities such as walking, climbing the stairs, sitting on the toilet.
